# OpenConsultant > An open standard that lets consulting companies publish consultant profiles, skills and availability as JSON on their own websites. Clients, agencies, matching services and AI agents read the profiles at the source and link back to it. A publisher serves an entry file at `/openconsultant.json` on its own domain. The entry file lists one JSON document per consultant. A profile is a JSON Resume document with an extra `openconsultant` object. Draft specification 0.1.0. Free to use, with nothing to sign up for. ## Documentation - [Specification](https://openconsultant.io/specification/): the full rules for publishers and for services that read the files - [Connect your company](https://openconsultant.io/connect/): the four steps from publishing a feed to joining the directory - [Get started](https://openconsultant.io/getting-started/): how to publish, step by step - [Examples](https://openconsultant.io/examples/): complete, valid files shown as a web page and as JSON - [Changelog](https://openconsultant.io/changelog/): versions and schema addresses - [About](https://openconsultant.io/about/): why the standard exists and how the project is run ## Machine readable - [Schema for a single profile](https://openconsultant.io/schemas/v0.1/schema.json): JSON Schema, draft 2020-12 - [Schema for the entry file](https://openconsultant.io/schemas/v0.1/manifest.schema.json) - [Example profile](https://openconsultant.io/examples/profile.json) - [Smallest valid profile](https://openconsultant.io/examples/profile.minimal.json) - [Example entry file](https://openconsultant.io/examples/manifest.json) ## Who publishes - [Directory](https://openconsultant.io/directory/): the domains that publish consultant profiles and how much each one lists - [Directory as data](https://openconsultant.io/directory.json): the same list as JSON, readable from any origin - [Test a domain](https://openconsultant.io/test/): reads what a domain publishes and checks it against the schemas ## Related - [OpenAssignment](https://openassignment.io): the sister standard for consulting assignments
